Odeo, Odeo - wherefore art thou Odeo?

I tried on 8 separate occasions to save a recording on Odeo Studio and was unable to do so. I could record and play back but could not get a recording to Save. It took two tries via e-mail to reach their Help/Support. One e-mail never got through. They admitted there was a bug in the program and that they were fixing it. So far they have not.

I decided to try to find some other sites. I searched Download.com. under MP3 and Audio Software. I found 634 sites under the subheading Audio Plug-ins and Utilities and 488 sites under Audio Production. The only site I uncovered that was free was SayAndPost 0.53. (added to Download site on July 29, 2007). I'm going to try the site and will report back on it in a later post. Incidentally, I did not find an entry for Odeo.

My Google search turned up literally millions of sites, even doing an advanced search. I looked at a couple of hundred items and found one that showed promice. It can be found at www.evoca.com. I have not downloaded it yet. I'll do so ann comment in a later post.

Not sure my last comment went through. Again, try mypodcast.com.
